Create a fabulous seed packet!

We’ve got a fun way to package seeds to give as a gift! Kerin has put together a lovely tutorial using stamps from Sheena Douglass, coloured with Spectrum Noir pens. Kerin’s part of the Crafter’s Companion US design team, so all of her measurements are using inches.

Directions:
Step 1: Cut 3 pieces of colored cardstock 5 x 8-1/2″, score up 1/2″ from bottom and in 2-1/2″ on each side as shown.
Step 2: Cut one piece of colored cardstock 4-1/2″ x 10-7/8″, score at 3-5/8″ and 7-1/4″ as shown.
Step 3: Fold this piece in an accordion style.
Step 4: Cut another piece of colored cardstock 4-1/4 x 4-1/2″ and score in 1/4″ on the long side, so that the cardstock measures 4 x 4-1/2″ when finished and add red liner tape along the scored section.
Step 5: Adhere the 4-1/4 x 4-1/2″ piece of colored cardstock to the accordion folded piece as shown.
Step 6: Cut the left and right scored sections out of the pieces of cardstock from step one as shown.
Step 7: Add red liner tape to bottom edge and both side edges as shown in the two photos above.
Step 8: Fold the bottom up and the sides in to assemble into a pocket shape.
Step 9: Cut a notch out to show a bit of the seed packet, either using scissors or a circle punch (do the same with all 3 pieces of cardstock).
Step 10: Add red liner tape to the backs of all three pockets.
Step 12: Decorate as desired (if tabs are preferred to pull the seed packets out, cut pieces of colored cardstock 1/2 x 2″, fold in half and adhere to tops of seed packets. The flowers were coloured with Spectrum Noir pens: LV1, LV3, HB2, CG1, CG2, CT4, DG3
Front and inside sentiments printed with computer printer and cut to 3-1/4 x 4-1/4″ and adhered to colored card stock base.
