National Best Friends Day: Friendship card and box project

You will need:

Cut a piece of patterned paper down to 8” x 8”. Score at 2 ¼” on all 4 sides using the box base side of your scoreboard. Trim into all 4 corners where the scorelines cross to remove a section to make the tabs smaller and easier to fold.
Score at 2 ¼” on the box lid side on all 4 sides of an 8” x 8” piece of acetate. Trim into all 4 corners where the scorelines cross to remove a section.
Apply red-liner tape to the tabs of both the box lid and box base and construct both pieces to create a box with an acetate lid.

Score a 11 ½” x 7 ¼” piece of Multi-Purpose cardstock in half to create a 5 ¾” x 7 ¼” card base.
Mat a 5 ¼” x 6 ¾” piece of patterned paper onto a 5 ½” x 7” piece of blue linen cardstock. Glue to the card base.
Die-cut the Hidden Within The Sea die from Multi-Purpose and blue linen cardstock. ink the edges of the blue piece and then drop shadow the white piece underneath. Mat onto a 3 ¾” x 5 ¼” piece of patterned paper and then onto a 4” x 5 ½” blue linen cardstock. Use foam tape to adhere to the centre of the card base.
Stamp your chosen sentiment onto Multi-Purpose cardstock. Ink the edges and mat onto a piece of blue linen cardstock. Use foam pads to adhere to the card base.
Stamp a pair of the mermaids onto Neenah cardstock and colour using TriBlends. Fussy cut around the edges and stick to the card with foam pads.
Finish with Dew Drops as shown.
