Art and colouring is a craft area that has become super popular over recent years, and it’s not hard to see why! There’s something so satisfying about choosing colours and creating artwork to your taste, so we’ve put together this post to help you get inspired. With links to ten of our blog posts, videos and projects, you’ll be reaching for the nearest coloured pencil in no time at all! Each one features a product from Spectrum Noir, our own art and colouring line, so if you’ve been thinking about picking something up, this is the perfect post for you!

1. The differences between the Spectrum Noir Inkpads

First things first, it’s important to know the differences between the Harmony Inkpads. With so many to choose from, it can be a bit daunting and confusing. The lovely Fiona Clayton has put together a little video to describe the differences between each one, so make sure you click the link and have a watch!

2. Blend the rules with the Spectrum Noir TriBlends

We’re absolutely head over heels for the TriBlend range and we’re sure that you will be too! These pens feature three individual, blendable colours in one, giving you the potential to add depth and dimension to your artwork with ease. Take a look at this blog post from the launch to find out more!

3. Spectrum Noir AquaTint 101

Create beautiful colourings and designs with the Spectrum Noir AquaTint Pens. Each one is filled with bright, water-soluble, dye-based ink, which is dispensed through a fine nylon brush, so it’s ideal for creating watercolour effects. Watch this video from Leann Chivers to learn the basics and some fun techniques.

4. Stamping with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks

Our Sparkle Inks are absolutely perfect for those of us that are looking for a little extra glitz in our lives, but did you know that they’re brilliant for stamping? Craig Laird shows you exactly how to achieve fun stamped looks with these pots of joy, which would look beautiful on a variety of papercraft projects.

5. How to heat emboss with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks

Continuing with the sparkly theme, it’s also worth us mentioned that the Sparkle Inks can also be heat embossed! You’ll never forget the first time that you see a heat embossed image come to life – it’s just like magic – so watch this video and find out the steps that you need to take.
