We really hope you enjoyed the Die’sire Word Edge’ables (8×8) show last week! We had a request on Sara Davies‘ Facebook page from Ally Spallard and Denise Tucker …so we thought..why not! It’s such a beautiful card and we’d love to help you recreate it!
Mel Jess from the Die’sire Design Team has provided you with a step by step tutorial to make the basic bendy card…which you can decorate with your choice of dies, stamps, embossing folders and embellishments!
Step 1. Cut two pieces of card 16×8 inches and 4×8. Score the large piece with the Big Score at 8 inches, you now have 2 8×8 panels
Step 2. Cut 2 inches from the top of the left side panel. Make a notch by cutting away a ½ inch and 2 inches from the top and bottom as shown below. Round the corners
Step 3. Do the same for the 4×8 panel, cutting away 1 inch from the top and bottom, round the corners. Score at the ½ inch on the smaller panel and stick to your card base as shown
Step 4. You have to make slits for your notches to fit in. On the back panel cut a line 2 inches long, coming in 1 ½ inch and 2 inches up from the bottom. Do the same for the smaller side but on the 6×8 panel. Cut the line 2 inches long, 3 inches in and 1 inch from the bottom as shown below.
Step 5. Push the notches through the slits and fold them back to hold in place. This is the basic Bendy card 8×8 card. You can now cut the edges with your Edge’ables and decorate anyway you like
