This step by step uses the Downton Abbey Ornate Square Frame in a modern funky way. Dies can be used in lots of different ways! Sandie has written a great tutorial showing you how to use these new dies.

Supplies:

Also used: Downton Abbey Ornate Square Die | ribbon | hole punch Directions: Pic 1 Using the Downton Abbey Ornate Square Frame Die set which has coordinating stacking dies. An outer edge, an ornate frame (without outer edge, it will stay in the card), then reducing inner stacking dies. Use the outer edge die with the largest inner stacking die to cut three mats on Sheena’s Stamping Card. Then add the ornate frame die and cut 3 ornate frames in three bright, bold or neon colours. Pic 2 Using Collal Tacky Glue layer and adhere the ornate frame’s onto the white card frames. I chose to shadow mine to add another dimension by off-setting them leaving a small white shadow. Pic 3 For the base, cut two sheets of Sheena Stamping Card to 6” x 8”. Use the Scoremaster to score along the longest side at 7” on both sheets. Pic 5 Using Collal Tacky Glue (we need a strong glue here) add glue to the 1” strip after the score line and adhere the two pieces together. Pic 6 Burnish the glued strip to create a strong bond. Pic 7 Now for the trimmings! Cut mats and layers of co-ordinating card stock for the spine and for inside the card (I love to use co-ordinating papers as inserts to pull a design together). Adhere them all together and on the base card with Collal All Purpose Glue. Pic 8 Now to add the frames by first laying them on the base card and seeing how you would like them to sit making sure they will over lock each other to create a chain. Then cut each frame in a place that will be hidden underneath the next one so the joins will not be seen. Attach to the card with 3D Glue Gel or foam sticky pads Punch 2 holes in the spine, thread with ribbon and add the I Love You from the Sara Davies Signature Collection Love & Romance range to finish.
