If you’ve been keeping up with me over on my Facebook page you know I’ve been busy over in the US, at the Craft & Hobby Association (SHA) trade show! I’m taking a quick break from the booth to share this tutorial featuring my new Love & Romance collection, which I’ll be bringing to Create & Craft this Thursday! Read on for showtimes.
I used these supplies on this card (I’ll be back to add links to the Love and Romance goodies as soon as they’re available on our website!):
To make this lovely triple-heart card:
Step 1: Score and fold red card. Place the two largest Nested Hearts dies slightly overhanging the fold on the red card and die-cut the two hearts to form mini-heart cards. Repeat this step using the Decorative Heart die. Score and fold in half each heart card front to create easel cards.
Step 2: Die-cut each of the remaining three Nested Hearts using red card and affix to the bottom half of each card front.
Step 3: Die-cut Decorative Heart using white card and affix co-ordinating card front. Next, die-cut two smaller hearts using papers from the 12″x 12″ paper pad and affix to the front of the other two heart cards.
Step 4: Secure each heart card to the base of each one using Collall Pll-Purpose glue. For the front stopper, die-cut the Key to My Heart dies. Before removing the card from the metal die, apply distress ink (Victorian Velvet) through to the card then remove and affix to card front. Die-cut the word ‘Love’ using black card, affix to middle easel card.
To finish, attach ribbon bow.
Don’t miss the shows on Thursday! See you then!
