Pop up box cards are such fun to make! Using the Die’sire Only Word dies you could create this card for so many different occasions it doesn’t have to be a Thank You card! This design would make a fabulous wedding card too. See how you can easily make this card yourself with this fabulous tutorial from Donna Mosely . Let’s get started.
Step 1: Using Centura Pearl Cardstock cut 2 pieces measuring 14.5cm x 21cm.
Step 2: Score each piece at 6cm & 19.5cm as shown below.
Step 3: Turn each piece of card clockwise and score at 8cm as shown on one. This will be the back.
Step 4: Do the same with the other piece but this time score down the whole thing as shown. This will be the front.
Step 5 : Cut down the 6cm score line to the horizontal score line and then cut off the 1.5 tab at the other end as shown.
Step 6: Place the die at the very top of the back of the card as shown and cut and emboss.
Step 7: To assemble adhere with Tacky glue on the 1.5cm tabs and glue together as shown.
Step 8: Cut 2 pieces measuring 4cm x 16.5 cm and score at 1.5cm at each end. Glue both inside the box card as shown. These will be used to attach the embellishments
Step 9: Here comes the fun bit. Print of a selection on papers & card companions from the Sugar & Spice section of the free CD-ROM from the Crafter’s Inspiration Magazine Issue 10. Matt and layer the patterned papers onto the front, back and flaps of the box card.
Step 11: Using various flower & foliage dies from Sara Signature Floral Delight collection and some of the printed patterned papers, cut as many flowers as you wish. Attach these to the Floral Vine Edge.
Step 12: Cut out some toppers & tags from your printed sheets and decorate the front and side flaps of the box.
Step 13: Add a couple of die cut butterflies to the card and some pearls to the centres of the flowers to finish off your card.
